Currently, I am having to Save or Save As the htm or html attachment; then select View Downloads; then double click the saved htm attachment to view its content.
For other file types, like pdf or doc, I just have to Save and Open and the file auto-opens, which is a much quicker way to get to view the attachment. This is only happening with IE9, not IE8. This is occuring with 2 pc, one with Windows 7 and the other with Vista. I am using yahoo Webmail. I was thinking I should be able to set how download manager handles htm and html files, but I cannot find where to set that.
Is there an option for that in the registry? Stumbled upon the same issue. But my problem is that am missing the "Open" button when downloading htm and html files. Doesn't happen for other file types. Also noticed that if I cnahe the file association of html file to Notepad, then the "open" button becomes visible while downloading html files. Just had the same problem and figured out a work around.
Internet explorer 11 is published from Citrix XenApp. The users access Outlook Webmail to get their e-mail. The user receives an e-mail with an Adobe PDF attached.
When they click on it, it opens in Word Online. When they select Print, they only get Save and Save As options. There is no Open option displayed, and the Save and Open option is greyed out. A test was completed sending a Word docx file. It opens in Word Online and the Print function works as it should.

I have never had problems using this method. Hey thanks alot. That worked ok for me. After you change your groups, you need to logout and login again for the changes to take effect. Or, instead of logging out and back it, do a newgrp www-data — tink. Also, make sure you also have x permission to the directories.
