Game crazy yucca valley ca

Cons Retail hours. Was this review helpful? Yes No. Report Share. They accelerated my promotion to general manager which was cool, they saw potential in me. The culture was awful, made it really difficult to have fun at work and engage.

This was one of my favorite jobs. The only downfall was I ended up with a manager who was sexist and was lying about trade ins and things like that. I eventually had to quit due to the sexist remarks from the manager and his "friend" that he hired.

The overall job when the manager and his friend werent around was amazing. I really enjoyed the job when they were not there. Sell games and game systems to customers. Answer phone calls. Answer customer questions. Do occasional price checks on games. Do occasional cleaning of the store. Like any retail shop, it had it's up's and downs. Our location on 82nd was a tough one due to high theft and being attached to Hollywood Video. The culture is always positive and full of high energy but at times it could feel like a daycare.

Parents love dropping their kids off. Employees here all have a membership, accessory, warranty, bundle and used gaming sales quota. There was a very low turnover rate, I only had to fire 1 employee for theft. Back then social media was just a baby so I had to do a lot of neighborhood marketing to bring kids and their parents in to help increase revenue.

If Game Crazy ever gets resurrected I think it would be a great place for people to work. Pros Knowledgeable staff and friendly environment. Cons The place can feel like a daycare and you always have to keep your eye's open for thieves.

Rate your recent company Share your experience to help others. Pros Fun. Cons Breaks were hard to come by. Its a Video Game store so whats not to love right. Pros discount, flexible hours, video games. Cons low pay, went out of business. They closed so this does not matter and it is stupid to make me do it.

Most websites make this optional but of course you guys don't. So stupid. Yes No There are 1 unhelpful reviews 1. Great culture due to great store managers. Product and service you can believe in. Management did not promote from within. Company closed due to industry change. Pros Fun culture. Cons Did not promote from within.

Help us improve! Had to open and closed store, do inventory on daily basis. Maintenance in the work place. Customer service, answering phones and promoting our sales over the phone. Pros Amazing coworkers, gaming esperience needed. Cons poor hours, low paid, no benefits.

It was a easy going place to walk into everyday. Management was laid back and open to suggestions on improving store product placement. Busiest during the holidays. Pros Flexible. Cons No Benefits. Yes No There are 2 unhelpful reviews 2.

Comment — April 12, This was probably my favorite job. It was sales driven but no harsh consequences for under performing. Pros Close knit family like staff, small buisness practices with a loyal customer base. Cons Low pay.

This job was fun and exciting at first, however it became tedious. The upper management had no clue how to run things properly and they would always point the blame at other people. Game Crazy was a good environment to keep current with the gaming world. Although the job was retail there would be customer interactions that were harsh. Another great thing was that when there was down time there were games to be played.

Too bad this place no longer exists. Cons Disgruntled customers at times. Yes There are 1 helpful reviews 1 No. Pros Knowledgeable staff and friendly environment.
